LeithLate17: Public Poetry Trail

‘O cam ye east or cam ye west
Or bring ye news to me, man?
Or were ye at the Port of Leith
And did the landing see, man?’

Edinburgh Makar Christine De Luca’s recent poem ‘Leith Swing’ makes reference to a number of historical buildings of import to Leith’s history. Join Edinburgh City of Literature as we go on a physical tour of the poem, which will take the form of pavement stencils, starting outside Custom House by the Shore. Christine De Luca will also be in attendance to read her poem to tour goers.

Tours take place at 2pm and 4pm, lastly roughly 1hr each. This is an outdoor tour that traverses uneven surfaces. Please dress for the weather.
